As every year in June, the AFI Symposium, the Italian conference dedicated to the pharmaceutical sector, will be held. From 5 to 7 June 2019 at the Rimini conference center, issues will be discussed with the theme “Innovation and globalization strategies for the pharmaceutical industry”.

There will be 17 Scientific Sessions, which will cover topics from all areas of the pharmaceutical sector: from research to development, from production to the distribution of medicines and medical devices.

Regarding pharmacovigilance, on the morning of Thursday 6 June, more precisely from 11:00 to 13:00, will be held, in the “Sala della Piazza”, the Scientific Session VII entitled “New horizons of pharmacovigilance“. Since innovation is the main theme of this year, the debate can only turn to innovative, biological and biosimilar medicines. The pharmacovigilance activities to be performed in the presence of this type of drug will be detailed and signal management will be deepened, analyzing the parameters, criteria and difficulties.
